Dive into the world of 3D printing! In this workshop you will experience how a digital model is created layer by layer into a real object. We'll show you important 3D printing processes and explain how they differ - in an easy-to-understand and clear way. Then you get creative yourself: you start your own 3D printing and take your workpiece home with you at the end. Not only will you gain a practical insight into a key technology of the future, but you will also learn how it is already revolutionizing medicine, technology and design today.
Workshop leader: Christoph Mehofer, BSc
What fascinates me about 3D printing is that an idea can be turned into a real object in a very short time, and it becomes visible how physics and materials science are translated directly into technology. My passion is to make this “magic of making” tangible for young people.
This event is only open to girls* and women*.
