HLAS ROSTLIN Z AMAZONIE: Setkání s amazonským šamanem donem Franciscem Orlandem Montesem Shuñou

Meeting with the Amazonian shaman Don Francisco Orlando Montes Shuña

"When a person enters the forest with respect and reverence, he can receive many gifts from its spirits."

The powerful nature around the Amazon River is loud, hot, humid, maternal, nurturing, healing, sincere and deep. The very stay in the forest among old trees, vines and cicadas awakens something ancient, original and healthy in a person.

We invite you to an evening meeting with the Amazonian shaman Don Francisco Orlando Montes Shuña from the Capanahua tribe, whose members and ancestors have preserved the art of working with teaching plants and ayahuasca for thousands of years. The evening will include a lecture, narration and space for your questions.

Don Francisco is a curandero who rules with the voice of plants. He dedicated his whole life to the green wisdom and knowledge of medicinal plants.

He started shamanic diets with teaching plants at the age of eleven under the guidance of his grandmother. At the age of thirty-three he became a maestro, at the age of fifty he opened one of the first treatment centers of its kind. Today, at the age of seventy-two, he is considered a "grand maestro" (great teacher). People from all over the world flock to his Sachamama center near Iquitos, Peru. People come to him for healing and also for learning, because as he says: "The green wisdom must not be lost."

The course of the evening:

We dive into the stories and cosmology of the Capanahua tribe and the Amazonian shamans' view of the world of people, plants and nature. Don Francisco will explain to us what can be healed with the support of ayahuasca and teaching plants and what topics people come to him with most often. During the evening, there will also be sacred songs called icaros, which according to this tradition invoke the healing energies of the spirits of the teacher plants.

He will also talk about shamanic diets in seclusion and the process of "dieting", which serves to establish a physical and spiritual connection with the teacher plants and ayahuasca. According to this tradition, plants impart songs, technology, shamanic power, and access keys to their worlds to dieters. At the end, we will touch on why it is important to protect the Amazon forest, its animals, the inhabitants and the traditions of the original tribes.

During the evening talk we will not consume any psychedelic substances.

Don Francisco speaks Spanish. The translation into Czech will be provided by his longtime student Gabriela Arbes.
