Heart Of Noise

The inspiration for the 420PEOPLE dance performance choreographed by Sylva Šafková is, as the name suggests, noise. Noise is usually perceived negatively, as something disturbing. However, the negative connotation of this expression may not always be appropriate. For example, English uses the same term for "noise" and "sound", "noise". So it can perhaps be said that the inspiration of the performance is not noise, but sound, sound as a certain counterpoint to music. Of course, this is not random noise, but composed noise. Ideologically, the show follows the manifesto of the futurists Art of Noise (L'arte dei Rumori) written by Lugi Russol, who primarily sees in noise new possibilities for a sound experience that is not bound by a limited register sounds of traditional musical instruments. Sylva Šafková once again invited T. Reindl (Omnion) to collaborate in this project, who will create his version of stage noise in various forms on stage with the help of recordings and live production. Industrial sounds, hits on the water surface, but also the sounds of the human body, voices, heartbeat will accompany the choreography for the dancers of the 420PEOPLE group, all in the scenography of Marko Cpin. As part of the performance, a surface of water will appear on the stage and the cult instrument of the futurists, the intonarumori, will be heard.
