About event

🎻 Juraj TOMKA - violin
🗓 Wednesday 20 November 2024 🕕 18.00
📌 Dom Albrechtovcov, Kapitulská 1, Bratislava
🎼 "Domanský is among the composers to Slovak musical life in the 1970s, which was characterized by a departure from the so-called New Music and an interest in the creation of the classics of the first half of the 20th century (Janáček, Honegger, Stravinsky). technical work, sound ingenuity and conciseness of form, which he developed independently in a number of instrumental compositions. He did not reach for rationally determined compositional techniques, he respected traditional tectonic principles. -colorful fancifulness expressed especially on piano pieces (Bagately; Dithyrambs), on the immediacy of relaxed musicianship, the brightness and freshness of the musical flow. His musicality and immediacy of invention allow us to confront diatonically clear melodic contours with sonically flowing bands, a firm rhythmic pulse with a metrically relaxed movement, the lapidaryness of the chosen form elements with concentrated evolutionary work, inspirations from historical music with folklore intonations."
