About event
Groovosophers is the Krakow formation Jazz-Fusion, which was founded in 2023 on the initiative of guitarist Filip Wyrwa, based on the tradition of the Goddard Quartet/Quintet band from over two decades from more than two decades. It is made up of experienced active musicians on the Polish jazz scene: Tomasz Karaszewski (Saxophons), Filip Wyrwi (guitars, guitar synthesizer), Grzegorz Madej (Hammonda organs, Rhodes), Marcin Essen (bass guitar, Fretless) and Grzegorz Bauer (drums).
The premiere album "Groovosophers" is The energetic mix of original compositions and the bold arrangement of the song "I’ll Take Les" by John Scofield. SEPTET presents fresh, modern fusion: jazz improvisations embedded in functional grooves, pulsating rhythms and spontaneous solos.
