About event
Leading Slovak musicians who collaborate with the top Slovak pop and jazz stars will play you full-blooded blues & funk.
The combination of Prešov funk-jazz saxophonist Mário "Gapa" Garbera (IMT Smile) with blues guitarist and singer Roman Mečiar (Robo Opatovský) from Bojnice in the band Gapa & Mečiar Blues Connection turned out to be unusually happy. He founded the band 15 years ago and they have already performed together at many festival concerts not only in Slovakia. The inseparable pair will not be missing in your city either, where they will perform original compositions, but also well-known blues standards, of course in their own arrangements.
Adeama Walkowiak is a brilliant British singer with deep musical roots. Her father played in the reggae band "Third World", while her mother played with music stars such as Chaka Khan, Whitney Houston and Gary Moore. Adeama grew up in a musical family and often traveled the world with her father. She has more than 30 years of singing experience and has released several songs that have received wide acclaim. Adeama has built a successful career as a musician, she recently founded her own group "Wild Flame", with which she won this year's Polish Blues Challenge, she actively performs concerts in Europe and will represent Poland at the "European Blues Challenge" in Croatia in 2025. Adeama has become a prominent figure in the field of blues music and was recently awarded the title of "Vocalist of the Year" by the listeners of "Luz Blues" radio in Poznań for the second year in a row, as well as winning the jury and audience votes in Las, Woda and Blues.
