Semi-concert performance of the famous Italian opera Don Pasquale.
In the title roles, you can look forward to Norina played by the phenomenal Armenian soprano Kristina Mkhitaryan, Don Pasquale, who will be none other than the Italian baritone Nicola Alaimo, the Italian baritone Vincenzo Taormina as the cunning Dr. Malatesta, who will be helped by the lovelorn Ernesto the great tenor Petr Nekorance. The charismatic Italian conductor Marco Armiliato will take the baton and the PKF-Prague Philharmonia will play.
Don Pasquale is a pure, unadulterated farce with sparkling music and a geyser of humorous scenes guaranteed to bring tears to your eyes - tears of laughter, of course! Rich old Don Pasquale wants to prevent the marriage of his nephew Ernesto to the young and poor widow Norina. He threatens Ernesto with disinheriting him, which is unfortunate for Ernesto as he cannot think of marriage without an inheritance. In addition, Don Pasquale decides to marry himself and calls Dr. Malatesta for help. But this decision will cost him dearly! Dr. Malatesta concocts a colossal hoax, and Don Pasquale is finally happy to get rid of his young "wife", in reality Nora.
