About event
"FULLAX will present an EP in May 2026 that makes it strikingly clear where the band is moving: away from the narrative indie rock of their last album, towards a more concentrated, club-oriented language. The mixture of dry drums, French house references and these deliberately exaggerated 70s strings seems surprisingly calm and more like a pragmatic change of style than a grand gesture. The topics of mindset, luxury and self-optimization do not appear as criticism with exclamation points, but rather as small breaks in the hooks: ironic, but not cynical.
The single “You want it” shows this principle most clearly: a loop that hardly promises anything and that's exactly why it works. Minimal, but with a clear message. “Weh” moves between rock band drive and French house shimmer and manages to balance pathos and distance at the same time. “Côte d’Azur” deliberately exaggerates for a moment, only to put your own imagination into perspective at the end. “Pullover,” on the other hand, opens up a space in which the EP sound suddenly seems very close and unpretentious.
With their small “No More Weh” release tour, FULLAX are bringing this reduced but pointed concept live to the stage. The new songs seem like they were made for this: direct, accessible, without trying to ingratiate themselves. A tour that will show that the band continues to try things out and is not afraid to think outside the box.”
