At the tender age of 6, I first pressed my nose into the display cases of the Kunst- und Wunderkammer and since then this wild mix of precious, rare, bizarre, sometimes coarse-ordinary and sometimes elf-like-delicate exhibits has fascinated me again and again. 💍

That has always been the desired effect of Chambers of Wonder! For centuries, people have diligently collected corals, pearls, coconuts, shells, ostrich eggs, slot machines, astrolabes, celestial globes, ivory and crystals, to name just a few, and presented them to the astonished audience. Bezoars and viper tongues too, of course! 🐍
