About event
My album will be released on October 17th!
After the last decisive brainstorming session, the title was found: "Courageuses" - (the) courageous (women).
Ticket sales have now begun!
"French & Female Vibes" is a promise to spend an evening immersing yourself in the world of female musicians who sing in French and bring their very own connection to Germany. Designing the concert:
Laura Dee & Frieda Lee – Record Release Concert
Laura Dee – vocals, piano
Frieda Lee – cello
Dante Parraguez – percussion
Delphine Maillard (Berlin/Tours, F) – vocals, bass
Dirk Homuth – Guitar
Almée (Paris, F) - vocals, piano, electronics
Laura Dee is German, but writes chansons in French, the most beautiful language in terms of sound, in her opinion.
Her new album is feminist, voluptuous and diverse, her female characters contradictory:
Whether the undeterred struggle of one Paralympics athlete, the eerie fate of Gisèle Pélicot or the abrupt end of a tranquil life as an underground Berlin terrorist: Germany and France meet in the work of the humorous Kreuzberg songwriter and pianist, who likes to test her chansons on open stages in Bordeaux and Berlin and meet exciting artists from the Francophone scene She has been accompanied on the cello for years by Frieda Lee, the main string sound of the new album, which has its official release this evening in the Theater im Palais. Frieda is from Berlin and has the entire sound palette of the cello at her disposal, which gives Laura's songs a special signature.
Delphine Maillard, who released her 3rd and moving political album "Quand les bombes troublent les rêves" in March, always gives her stories a groovy note with her floating jazz-pop. Her voice will open the concert with her electric bass accompaniment.
The Parisian artist Almée is in love with words, composing melodies on the piano that are the result of her intensive listening. She mixes classical and electronic music. Her introspective Francopop invites you to discover the collective subconscious.
Laura Dee and Almée met in Paris this spring and made the plan to enter into a lively cultural exchange: Laura dreams of presenting her chansons in Paris just as much as Almée in Berlin.
Delphine Maillard lived in Berlin for 10 years Berlin before moving back to Tours this year.
