In our photography course, you'll learn how to effectively use your flash to create natural, vibrant shots - indoors and outdoors. The course is designed across manufacturers and is suitable for all common camera systems.

What awaits you in our photography course?

Light is the key to photography, and the right use of it your flash can transform your images. In this workshop we will show you how to understand and use the interaction between camera, flash and exposure creatively. You'll be able to create exciting portraits, fashion shoots and outdoor shots without risking harsh shadows or overexposed images.

How does the course work?

1. Theoretical basics: At the beginning of the course we will briefly teach you the most important theoretical basics. You will learn everything about flash control, unleashed flash, the use of various light modifiers and the appropriate accessories. You have the opportunity to try out different flash sets in real situations - from subtle subject brightening to high-speed synchronization.

2. Practical exercises in the studio: We immediately put what we have learned into practice. You will learn how to take photos with the flash without the images appearing “flashed dead” and without creating strong shadows.

3. Practical outdoor exercises: You will learn how to separate the foreground light from the background light in your photos in order to create a breathtaking image look for portraits and fashion shots.

4. Image design: Finally, we discuss techniques to make your images more exciting. You will learn how to take impressive photos through composition, perspective and lighting.

Don't worry if you don't have your own flash: we provide flashes for Olympus, Sony, Canon and Nikon for the most common camera manufacturers. Please ask us in advance whether a flash is available for the duration of the course!
