About event
We cordially invite you to the opening of the exhibition photographic conditions of art history and the current photographic studio of the Institute of Art History of the Academy of Sciences in Window Gallery (Husova 4, Prague 1), which takes place on Wednesday, December 11 at 6 pm in the court of art history of the ASCR. />
The exhibition portrays the value and benefits of documentary photography of works of art for the field of art history. Also, on the example of the practice of the photo studio of the limb, he describes the life of a photograph that ends, but also again with "storage" in photo archives called photographs. The exhibition shows that the documentation photography of art cannot be perceived only as a mechanical imprint, but that its interpretative dimension depends on both the decisions of the photographer himself and on the way it is ordered and its context in which it presents itself. The exhibition illustrates these ideas on the works of four contemporary photographers and photographers of Onda, Vlado Bohdan, Anežka Pithartová, Jitka Walterová and Petr Zinke, showing a cross -section of their works from the beginning of the zero to the present.
