Fink + Finnegan Tui

English musician Fink is a respected and well-established name on the indie folk scene, not only thanks to his collaboration with Amy Winehouse, for whom he wrote and recorded her earliest demos. In July, Fin Greenall aka Fink will release his eighth studio album.

On October 14, 2024, he will come to Prague's Akropolis Palace with it. New Zealand multi-instrumentalist Finnegan Tui will appear as a guest.

The introspective, philosophical and euphoric album Beauty in Your Wake was recorded by Greenall with his long-time bandmates Tim Thornton (drums/guitar) and Guy Whittaker ( bass guitar) during thirty days of total seclusion provided by the village of Zennor in Cornwall, England. After all, that's where Greenall, who currently lives in Berlin, comes from. The record will be released on July 5 and the first taste in the form of the track What Would You Call Yourself is already out.

Greenall's musical journeys have been and are diverse. Before he started making guitars, he worked as a DJ and producer. During the 90s in Bristol, he experienced the heyday of the scene there and in 1994 he signed a contract with the legendary label Kickin' Records. Three years later, he signed with Ninja Tune. The band's line-up is now the same as that which recorded the breakthrough album Biscuits for Breakfast (2006), which proved to be the springboard for an extensive international career. After three more albums Distance and Time (2007), Sort of Revolution (2009) and Perfect Darkness (2011), the band began to experiment more as in both in the studio and on stage. The result was, among other things, that the music of the trio appeared on the soundtracks of such series as Better Call Saul or The Dark Case.
