FILIP

Jaroslav Filip called Jaro or Jarík. Musician, singer, composer, lyricist, dramaturg, actor, director, moderator, smoker, father, recessist, humorist, glossator and player... A man of mass appearance, as Marián Varga called him.

Filip lived relatively briefly, but intensively and partly also in Trnava - as an actor, composer, and later also a director in the then Theater for Children and Youth. The author's production is a tribute to one of his most outstanding personalities, a memory of the work and life of Jara Filip, who, among other things, managed to create an enormous number of songs. Many were first heard on the Trnava stage and later became hits. The production is not a sentimental memory, but in Philippian terms – the joy of the play. In addition to looking back at what was, he also investigates what could be and implements Filip's unrealized plans - for example, setting the phone book to music.

The text of the production was compiled from authentic memories, documents, interviews and correspondence by playwright and dramaturg Miro Dacho. The director of the production is Ján Luterán, who created a popular production for DJP about the football club Spartak Trnava Futbal or White Angel in Hell. In a production about one of the most iconic musicians, of course, live music cannot be missing. This is done directly by the actors on stage.
