On Sunday, June 14, the first edition of the Tichá radost festival will take place in the Kaštan Cultural Center in Prague - a showcase of original musical groups from all over the Czech Republic, which move between the genres of blues, indie-rock, folk-rock, jazz and beat.
The festival follows on from the 2023 album of the same name by the group Mrakoplaš and two successful tours called Tichá radost na pože, which took place in 2023 and 2024. During these concert series, Mrakoplaš met a number of inspiring bands, whom he decided to invite to perform together in Prague.
"During the two tours, we played 35 concerts and met a lot of musical friends, without whom we couldn't have done the performances. Thanks to them, the string was worth it. And the best way to thank them is to invite them to us - to Prague, right?" says Mrakoplaš bassist Dave Mendez.

Visitors can also look forward to entering the Museum of Popular Music, which is located directly on the premises of KC Kaštan and will be open for the duration of the festival.
The event will take place in the open air in the garden of the cultural center; in case of bad weather, the program will be moved to the interior of the hall on the 1st floor.
