Festival Alternativa 2024

The Alternativa festival is an annual showcase of bold, inventive and dense music. With one of the longest traditions, since the early 90s, the festival has been trying to create an alternative to the unified lists of commercial festivals and to find hitherto unexplored lines between foreign and local artists. From the original dramaturgical intention of bringing leading representatives of the experimental, free jazz and improvisation scene, Alternativa has moved to a company where artists with legendary or cult status work side by side alongside budding talents from the global and local scene. Alternative is primarily about the desire to look for new points of view in the context of music that is not afraid to step out of established boxes.
