Farma v jeskyni: Efeméry & Commander

The international theater company from Prague will present its two film projects Ephemery and Commander in Studio 12.

The screening will be followed by a discussion with the founder and artistic director of Farma v jeskyni, director and choreographer Viliam Dočolomanský. Theaterologist Marek Godovič will lead the discussion.


Ephemerals

Get on. We are not stopping. We are going through this together, but separately. Moments when we could understand, but we missed.

From the cabin of the paternoster elevator, we see fleeting moments captured in the form of strong emotional tensions. The protagonists - together and yet individually - are preoccupied with their own uncertain and changing stories and do not see the others who are right next to them. The scenes evoke everyday situations in a melancholic environment, on the edge between reality and strangeness.
The film won the Best Actor Award and the Audience Award at the Idaho Screendance Festival.

Commander

What if the kids talked to each other like they were chatting? And what if their dialogues were not invented, but taken verbatim from neo-Nazi chats? The film Commander publicly reveals what until now remained hidden behind the digital curtain. It illuminates the contours of the world in which some contemporary children live their second lives.

The film collage plays out dialogues compiled exclusively from fragments of real chats of the neo-Nazi group FKD, which was led by a thirteen-year-old boy under the profile Commander. He places them in fictional situations in the real world and puts them in the mouths of child actors. The chilling atmosphere of conversations in which children openly talk about sex, death and hatred balances on the border of absurdity, humor, fear and horror. Little adults here - at least verbally - take responsibility for the world and our lives. When the verbal coercion and manipulation to which the children are exposed virtually are then transferred to a public space and a physical form, an image is created that raises more than one disturbing question...

Film Commander is also part of the theater production of the same name.
