🇨🇿 Jak se žije v Alterlaa, největším komplexu sociálního bydlení v Rakousku? Humorný filmový debut Biancy Gleissinger poodkrývá fungování tohoto „města ve městě“. Architekt Harry Glück přišel v 70. letech s utopickou premisou, díky které i lidé z dělnické a střední třídy mohli žít jako boháči. Každý dům je opatřen bazénem, má velké množství společných prostor, v komplexu jsou školky, školy, obchody i sportoviště. Režisérka se vrací na místo svého dospívání a skrze filmové médium reflektuje své zážitky. Snímek představuje panoptikum rozličných charakterů, pro něž je život v Alterlaa vším, nebojí se však ani posvítit si na stinné stránky této utopie.

en What is life like in Alterlaa, the largest social housing complex in Austria? Bianca Gleissinger's humorous film debut reveals the workings of this "city within a city". In the 1970s, architect Harry Glück came up with the utopian premise that even working and middle-class people could live like rich people. Each house has a swimming pool, a large number of common areas, nurseries, schools, shops and sports facilities. The director returns to the place of her adolescence and reflects on her experiences through the medium of film. The film presents a panopticon of diverse characters for whom life in Alterlaa is everything, but it is not afraid to shine a light on the shadowy sides of this utopia.
