Experience Mapping

This workshop hosted by Emanuel Jochum-Zehetner teaches how to map and understand people's experiences.

It’s all about experience. Just think about an event you attended recently, a train trip, or the way you ordered something online – you had needs, thoughts, questions, emotions and feelings while doing that. If we map that journey, we start to see what actually shapes a positive experience in the first place.

Applying this to the people we build things for – customers, users, attendees – gives us a powerful way to identify pain points, surface opportunities, and spark creativity.

In this workshop, you will:

• understand the purpose and concept of experience mapping
• practice mapping an experience from different perspectives
• work in small groups on fast-paced exercises
• learn about the power of the outcome

This workshop is for people who:

• plan, create, or build products, services, or events
• work in fields like innovation, consulting, design, or research
• are curious about experience mapping and want to try it hands-on

Good to know: expect a lot of thinking, writing, and discussing. No laptop needed.
