About event
Nikolaj Nikitin – saxophone 🎷
Ľuboš Šrámek – piano 🎹
Eugen Vizváry – bass guitar 🎸
Martin Valihora – drums 🥁
guest: Aron Hodek – bass guitar 🎸
The band brings together outstanding personalities of the Slovak jazz scene, each of whom brings their own signature to the common sound. Nikolaj Nikitin on the saxophone stands out for his energetic improvisation, rhythmic precision and strong expressive tension, which adds dynamism and contrast to the music. His playing naturally connects modern jazz language with melodic sensitivity and spontaneity.
The harmonic pillar of the band is Ľuboš Šrámek, a pianist with rich experience from international projects, who sensitively balances between supporting soloists and his own inventive expression. His playing creates space for dialogue and at the same time adds color and harmonic depth to the music.
Eugen Vizváry on the bass guitar brings a solid groove, significant rhythmic stability and a modern sound that naturally connects jazz, funk and fusion. His playing creates a dynamic foundation on which the band can move freely between fixed structure and open improvisation.
Rhythmic energy and pulse are shaped by Martin Valihora, a drummer of international renown, whose feeling for detail, dynamics and interaction makes the drums an equal partner in the musical dialogue.
The special guest of the evening is the young bass guitar phenomenon Aron Hodek, who despite his age belongs to the most outstanding talent of the European scene. His playing is characterized by exceptional technique, a strong groove and a natural feeling for musical communication. He has collaborated with several world musicians and regularly performs on prestigious stages at home and abroad. His presence brings fresh energy, virtuosity and generational overlap to the concert, which enriches the resulting sound of the band with a new dimension.
Together they create a compact ensemble in which technical brilliance is combined with natural musical communication, spontaneity and strong emotional expression.
The number of seats is limited. The back of the bar is a smoking area.
