About event
Young people debate on the basis of arguments created from relevant sources of information and according to the rules of academic debate. The debate will be moderated by Viktor Taníó, a teacher of the grammar school at Warsaw, a former debate coach, referee and member of the Slovak Debate Association and Debators will be students and students of the Grammar School at Warsaw and Bilingual Grammar School in Žilina. The aim of the public debate is to popularize current topics and cultivate public discussion.
Different views will be presented by students of the bilingual grammar school.
Students' arguments will evaluate:
Miloš Dudáš, Director of the Regional Monuments Board, Žilina
Gabriela Kalašová, environmentalist, former director of the NP Administration Malá Fatra
Debate is a exchange of views based on structure and predetermined rules. It takes place between two three -member teams, one of which advocates the pre -entered the thesis and the other disagrees with it. All members of both teams will alternately perform in the debate, with the teams reserved the same time to present their arguments. There is also a competition form of the academic debate, where the winning team is decided by the referees' panel to explain their decision in detail to both teams. In the case of an exhibition debate, this is an exchange of views to show different aspects of the given thesis and topic.
