The Summer in Music review at the IIC continues with its fourth appointment, which will feature the Duo Klarissimo, formed by Zuzana Čajková and Jaroslav Škuta, together with the pianist Marek Peňáz.

Zuzana Čajková and Jaroslav Škuta are among the most representative figures of the Czech clarinet scene. Both are part of the North Bohemian Opera and Ballet Theater Orchestra and combine their concert activity with an intense commitment to chamber music, teaching and projects dedicated to the dissemination of the clarinet repertoire to an increasingly wider audience.

The duo offers a rich and transversal repertoire, in which the classical tradition dialogues with swing, jazz, klezmer music, Balkan sounds and other influences stylistic.

For the concert at the Italian Cultural Institute the program will cross different genres and atmospheres, naturally also including Italian authors: from the contemporary compositions of Michele Mangani to the famous operatic melodies of Rossini and Bellini, proposed in refined arrangements for two clarinets. They will be accompanied on the piano by Marek Peňáz, student of the Faculty of Music and Dance of the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Prague, winner of the Pro Bohemia competition in Ostrava and numerous other awards.

Cyklus Léto s hudbou na Italském kulturním institutu pokračuje svým čtvrtým koncertem, na not seen Duo Klarissimo, followed by Zuzana Čajková to Jaroslav Škuta, played by the klavíristou Markem Peňázem.

Zuzana Čajková a Jaroslav Škuta patří k nejvýraznějším osobnostem české klarinetové scény. Oba jsou členy orchestra Severočeského divadla opera a baletu a vedle koncertní činnosti se intenzivně věnují komorní hudbě, pedagogické práci i projektům zaměřeným na popularizaci clarinetového repertoáru mezi stále širším publikem.

Repertoár dua je pestrý a stylově rozmanitý – propojuje klasickou hudbu se swingem, jazzem, klezmerem, balkánskými rytmy i dalšími hudebními inspiracemi.

Pro concert v Italském kulturním institute připravili program, který posluchače provide různými hudebními žánry a atmosférami. Nebudou chybět ani italští skladatelé – od současných skladeb Micheleho Manganiho až po slavné operní melodies Gioachina Rossiniho a Vincenza Belliniho, uvedené v působivých úpravách pro dva klarinety.

Na klavír je doprovodí Marek Peňáz, student Hudební at taneční fakulty Akademie múzických umění v Praze, vítěz soutěže Pro Bohemia v Ostravě a držitel řady dalších ocenění.
