About event
This weekend, the cathedral is waiting for an evening full of music from 16.-18. century on copies of historical instruments from that time. The Ensemble Thesaurus Musicum will perform with us in the lineup of two artists: Mezzo-soprano Andrea Pietrová and Michal Hottmar on plucked instruments - theorbo, archilute and baroque guitar.
The ensemble focuses on historically informed interpretation of early music. Expert research of period treatises, manuscripts, stylish application of ornaments and authentic instruments are an integral part of practice at Ensemble Thesaurus Musicum performances.
We hope that your curiosity will lead you to our cathedral on Sunday, where you will be able to learn more about the beauty of Renaissance and Baroque music directly from the concert masters. We will be looking forward to seeing you!
Realized with the financial support of the city of Banská Bystrica.
