About event
🎞Films on Spectaculare: Eno
There is no better theme for creating a generative document than a musician, producer, artist, activist and versatile Renaissance man Brian Eno. This brilliant film shows why.
In 1995 Brian Eno created the term "generative music" to designate the kind of music, which is constantly different and is constantly changing. Director Gary Hustwit applies the same concept to a versatile portrait of this personality. Of the more than hundreds of hours of archival records and newer interviews, it creates a documentary ENO from the life of this artist. He follows his early years, adolescence and study at art school, his work as a member of Roxy Music and a subsequent solo career. It includes his studio work with artists like David Bowie, Devo, Talking Heads and U2, his art installation, newer recordings and life in the English countryside.
All the time, it captures Eeno's variable views on an infinitely wide range of topics. And because it is a generative documentary, the film you will see is changing with every projection.
