Europe's new textile law is now in force. It targets the full lifecycle of a garment — from the factory to the landfill — and it puts legal obligations on brands to produce long lasting garments, and to organize own repair and recycling facilities. But laws move slower than supply chains, and Shein still ships a billion parcels a year. So what changes, and what doesn't?
