… em Estado de Excesso: en[Saio] Aberto is a performative-musical show by Anderson Abreu that investigates the voice, the body and the word in a state of excess. Inspired by the work Poema (1979), by Leonora de Barros, the show is constructed as a rehearsal on stage, where performing, saying and being happen close to the limit, without closure or resolution.

Organized in four acts, the work goes through birth, displacement, risk and return, articulating songs by Cazuza, Ney Matogrosso, Elis Regina, Gal Costa, Gilberto Gil, Caetano Veloso, among others, as material live in constant transformation. The performance affirms the exit as the possibility of going, returning, being and the excess as permanence in the process.

On stage, Anderson Abreu will be with the musicians Lucas Chagas and Lucas Carrasco, who build a sound field live in direct dialogue with the voice and body of the performer and the images of Leonora de Barros. Between music, image and presence, … in State of Excess: en[Saio] open invites the public to inhabit the unfinished, sustaining creation as encounter, circulation and excess.

The first season of the show took place in Brazil, in January 2026. Now, its second season will be presented in Vienna, at Coco Bar, opening new journeys for this performative experience.

… im Zustand des Exzesses: en[Saio] offen ist eine performativ-musikalische Arbeit von Anderson Abreu, die Stimme, Körper und Wort im Zustand des Exzesses erforscht. Inspiriert von dem Werk Poem (1979) von Leonora de Barros entfaltet sich die Aufführung als ein Versuch auf der Bühne, in dem Performen, Sprechen und Sein nahe an der Grenze geschehen – ohne Abschluss oder Auflösung.

In vier Akten strukturiert, durchläuft die Arbeit Geburt, Verschiebung, Risiko und Rückkehr und verbindet Lieder von Cazuza, Ney Matogrosso, Elis Regina, Gal Costa, Gilberto Gil, Caetano Veloso u. the. als lebendiges Material in ständiger Transformation. Die Performance versteht den Aufbruch als Möglichkeit des Gehens, Zurückkehrens und Verweilens – und den Exzess als ein Verbleiben im Prozess.

Auf der Bühne steht Anderson Abreu gemeinsam mit den Musikern Lucas Chagas und Lucas Carrasco, die live ein Klangfeld im direkten Dialog mit der Stimme und dem Körper des Performers sowie mit den Bildern von Leonora de Barros erschaffen. Zwischen Musik, Bild und Präsenz lädt … im Zustand des Exzesses: en[Saio] offen das Publikum ein, das Unabgeschlossene zu bewohnen und die Schöpfung als Begegnung, Zirkulation und Exzess zu erfahren.

Die erste Spielzeit des Stücks fand im Januar 2026 in Brasilien statt. Nun wird die zweite Spielzeit in Wien im Coco Bar präsentiert und eröffnet neue Bewegungen für diese performative Erfahrung.
