About event
Elán is heading to Prague's O2 arena. On June 9, 2026, they will perform in the largest multi-functional hall in the Czech Republic and welcome former members of the band to the stage.
The Slovak group around the band's main leader Jož Ráž, who has been writing the history of an incredible 58 years, will organize a spectacular concert in Prague with the participation of the current members of the band, but also musicians who formed the core of Bratislava's Czechoslovak legend since 1981. Loyal witnesses, but also younger audiences who didn't have the chance to experience some of Elán's teammates live, will get their money's worth.
The last 813 tickets are on sale.
Offered by Ticketportal.cz, Ticketmaster.cz or at www.elan.sk.
The concert with the Elán & Kamarádi concept will offer an exceptional atmosphere, above-standard production and also songs that are not often played live. they formed the history of our band. I think we all want to experience such a friendly atmosphere. Whether it's the fans who have accompanied us throughout our career, or the ever-increasing new ones who only listen and read about the former members. If we combine it with state-of-the-art technology, a nostalgic atmosphere and throw in pieces that we don't often play, we'll have a lot of fun," explains the now 71-year-old leader of the band Jožo Ráž.
The Elán group was founded in 1968. It has released fifteen studio albums, five English albums and a number of compilations, for the sales of which it received an incredible 25 platinum records. Jožo is the pillar of the band Ráž (vocals, bass guitar) and Jano Baláž (vocals, guitar). One of the founders of the band, Vašo Patejdl (keyboards, vocals), died in August 2023.
Elán last performed in Prague in 2024, when he sold out the O2 arena twice and then filled the largest Slovak hockey stadium in Bratislava three times Ostrava and twice in Košice, which sold out within a few months, almost a year before they took place. This year, the group only has concerts in Slovak amphitheaters with a capacity of around 16,000 people, and almost all of them are quickly approaching sell-out.
In the spring of 2024, after five years, the group released the single Znova sa doktni, which immediately after the announcement became another Elánov hit that destroyed the audience. Zda je to předzvěst nového alba, kapela odpoví již velmi brzy a možná premiéra se nabízí právě v Praze.
