About event

Amazon, Shöpping & Co in focus: Decide strategically which marketplaces suit your e-commerce business.

👉 The workshop is organized by exvomo - a platform for e-commerce events, further training and community building in Austria with the aim of strategically networking retailers, agencies and service providers and providing them with practical training.

An intensive day workshop in Vienna for retailers and brands who want to professionalize their marketplace strategy - with inputs from Exvomo, xretailer, Shöpping and Salesboat.

Max. 12 participants, practical, independent and with real use cases.

📦 When is an online marketplace worthwhile for my e-commerce strategy?

Many e-commerce companies are faced with the question: Should I sell on Amazon? Or would you rather go to OTTO, Kaufland, Shöpping?

The answer is: It depends. This workshop will help you find out exactly that - structured, honest and with real professionals at your side.

🧠 What awaits you:

  • Introduction to marketplace strategies & business models
  • Independent marketplace comparison (Amazon, OTTO, Shöpping, Kaufland, etc.)
  • Successful growth on marketplaces
  • Deep Dive Amazon – with the owners of salesboat
  • Exchange with a maximum of 12 participants in a personal atmosphere
  • Q&A with all speakers
  • Snacks & drinks

❌ The problem: Disorientation in marketplaces

Many e-commerce companies know that marketplaces like Amazon, OTTO, Kaufland or Shöpping offer great reach potential - but:

  • Which platform really fits their own business model?
  • Is Amazon a must - or too expensive a game?
  • How do they differ? Cost models, target groups & visibility logics?
  • And how do I integrate marketplaces strategically instead of just half-heartedly “using” them?

👉 The result:
Unnecessary wastage, frustration with platforms & no real scaling.

✅ The solution: Structured overview & practical insights

In the workshop you will get:

  • A well-founded comparison of the most important marketplaces in Austria & internationally
  • Insights into success factors, but also typical mistakes when starting up
  • A clear classification: Which marketplace is right for me - and why (not). can be implemented.

🎯 Who is the workshop for (and who not for)?

    good suitability for:

✅ Online shop operators who want to grow via marketplaces - but are still unsure which channel is strategically suitable.
✅ Brands & manufacturers who are considering Amazon or other platforms (or want to position themselves better).
✅ Retailers who are already active on 1-2 marketplaces, but want to revise or professionalize their strategy.
✅ Agencies & e-commerce service providers who look after customers in the marketplace environment and want to sharpen their know-how.
✅ B2B companies with D2C ambitions who are planning their first experiences with Amazon & Co.
✅ Everyone who critically questions marketplace myths and wants to get real experience - far from sales pitches.

    less suitable:

❌ If you are only looking for a technical entry into Amazon Seller Central (e.g. E.g. create an account, upload a product).
❌ If you already have a developed multichannel marketplace strategy and only want to clarify detailed operational questions.
❌ If you expect pure tool training - this is about strategy, decision-making support and practical knowledge, not click-by-click instructions.
❌ If you only have a marketplace Want to "try it out" out of curiosity, but have no ambition (yet) to involve him strategically.
❌ If you are looking for free advice in a 1:1 setting - this workshop offers group input, not individual project work.
