He was a university professor. He made many evangelistic trips to more than 86 countries of the world, where he held exorcisms, conferences, led religious services with prayers for healing and organized evangelistic seminars.
When at the beginning of the Year of Mercy in 2016, Pope Francis invited clergy from all over the world to appoint them as missionaries of mercy, among those invited - the only one in a wheelchair - was Fr. James Manjackal, who claims that neither a wheelchair nor a disability is an obstacle in preaching the Gospel to everyone.
"Come to me, all you weary and troubled, and I will strengthen you..." - he often recalls these words of Jesus in his priestly service, including during prayers. Father James preached the gospel and prayed for the healing of soul and body in more than 100 countries on all continents. He also directed congresses and evangelistic schools. He carried out missions among Muslims and people who wanted to become Christians.
