About event
On Tuesday afternoon, February 3, 2026, a 90-minute ONLINE course of the Hejné method, Secondary Arithmetic, will take place. The course is intended mainly for teachers of the 2nd grade of elementary school, but other teachers can also participate, or non-teachers.
Together we will look at how to lead pupils to a deeper understanding of the arithmetic of fractions, negative numbers and equations so that they can calculate confidently, but also meaningfully. On a graded series of tasks, participants will try procedures that improve understanding and bring success even in testing.
You can find the application form on the website here:
https://www.indicia.sk/aktivity/hejneho-metoda/druhostupniarska-aritmetika-hejneho-metoda-online-22026
The course is suitable both for graduates of basic courses on the Hejneho method and also for complete beginners or interested parties who do not use the Hejné method and have not completed any training for it.
Date: February 3, 2026 (4:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.)
Place: ONLINE (ZOOM)
Lecturer: Lucia Finková
Registration: until January 28, 2026 (or until capacity is filled)
Fees and method payment: €38 per person
The course will take place in real time live, it will not be possible to view it later from the recording. You do not need to have your own ZOOM account, but a stable internet connection is required. We recommend connecting via a computer with a camera and microphone so that we can see and hear each other (i.e. not via mobile). Participants are expected to actively participate in the program.
