About event
Laughter that heals and hope that never ends
Evy Mearová, a bar singer with a past she would like to erase, returns from rehab to reality. At home, she is met by a colorful company that makes up her peculiar universe: her friend Tobby, for whom the title of beauty queen from high school is a fact of life, and Jimmy, a failed actor who has become a veteran among theater novices. Lu Tenner, Eva's younger lover and a homeless guitarist, also fits into this confused world.
In the midst of this mix of lost people who keep each other afloat with humor and love, one "healthy" element shines - Eva's daughter Polly. Although she is the youngest, she seems to be the only one who has matured. It is she who becomes the one who, with unprecedented courage, holds up a mirror to her mother and shows her the real path in life.
Gingerbread crumbs by the master of American comedy Neil Simon is a deep and moving story about the search for a second chance. Come and see a tragicomedy that will make you laugh through your tears and that will remind you that even if life is like a gingerbread, sometimes there are just the right crumbs in it that are worth picking up.
Starring: Simona Stašová, Andrea Daňková / Isabella Rossini, Čestmír Gebouský, Helena Karochová, Ernesto Čekan / Filip Cíl, Josef Fečo
Author: Neil Simon
Director: Milan Scheibal
