About event
A fresh cultural emulsion for the young and fresh in spirit from 16 to 30 years old: a little exhibition, a little lecture, a little experiment. And especially fresh oxygen.💫 This time with the Japanese painter Moemi Yamamoto at the GA-I-SU-RA exhibition.
👋🏻 The lecture by the Japanese painter, who studied fine arts in Japan and recently graduated from the Prague Academy of Arts, is inspired by the GA-I-SU-RA exhibition and the theme of the intermingling of Eastern and Western cultures. Before the lecture, there will be a guided tour of the GA-I-SU-RA exhibition. The exhibition will be led by Ester Geislerová.
"Our ancestors, who were forced to live in dark rooms, gradually discovered the beauty of shadows and eventually learned to use them for aesthetic purposes." This quote from Tanizaki aptly sums up pre-modern Japanese aesthetics. This is the tendency to look for beauty in the dark - for example, in the color of a bowl that appears as a layer of darkness, in the appearance of a woman whose face and hands emerge from the surrounding darkness, or in the subtle shadows in the niche of a tokonoma. The Japanese painter Moemi Yamamoto, working in Prague, through her work discusses the Japanese aesthetics of darkness, the new "view" gained in the Czech Republic and the common points of Czech and Japanese painting.
DOXYGEN is lectures, workshops, discussions, creative workshops and anything in between. Contemporary art, contemporary phenomena, contemporary personalities and the contemporary moment. The format of the young generation to yourself.❤️
