Dorn method course for dogs

Lecturer: Andrea Dunová

A basic course for dog owners and experts that introduces them to the world of manual therapies. It provides theoretical and practical learning of the basics of joint biomechanics and the functions of all components of the supporting apparatus for rehabilitation with greater sensitivity and efficiency.

Who is the course suitable for?
- For dog owners and experts who want to better understand the dog's locomotor system and be able to help it safely, effectively and with respect.
- All you need is a desire to learn and work - previous experience with therapies is not necessary.


Contents course

Theoretical content of the module:
- anatomy of the supporting apparatus of small animals (bones, joints, connective tissues and fascial system)
- basics of biomechanics of joint connections
- the most common diseases of the musculoskeletal system
- principles of manual treatment
- handling animals (instructions necessary to protect animals)

Practical content of the module:
- training of techniques for manual treatment of all of joints
- acquisition of palpation skills
- work with the biomechanics of joints
- training in therapeutic ethics and approach to the treated animal

Time allowance: 23 hours (the lesson is 50 minutes, the one-hour lunch break is not included)
Course price: 10,000 CZK
For the course you need to have your own dog.
