Do you want to volunteer and don't know how to start? Come meet the organizations that need help. We invite you to a volunteer date with the organization Klíma te necesitas and also with the volunteer tutoring program Spojivko. You will learn about the possibilities of volunteering in them, you will have the opportunity to ask questions directly to the coordinators.
CLIMATE NEEDS YOU as an organization and its regional hubs offers the possibility of involvement for all age categories. She deals with the topics of climate change and its solutions, while being active at the local level. Individuals who are part of it meet on a regular basis several times a month, support each other, educate and at the same time jointly plan and organize events intended for the general public such as discussions, workshops, or events in public space such as concerts, campaigns and the like. Everyone devotes as much time as their other activities allow.
SPOJIVKO
Spojivko is a voluntary tutoring program of the Center for Volunteering, which is of great importance especially for children at risk of social exclusion. Volunteers visit children once a week for an hour in low-threshold centers or centers for mothers in need and help children with learning and schoolwork. The friendly relationship (bond) that develops between the volunteer and the child is a great benefit for both parties.
What to expect from DobroRande? Organizations will present their activity and offer. Subsequently, there will be space for more personal contact and conversation directly with the coordinators of both organizations. You will learn what the activities are about, what kind of clients they have, what requirements they have for volunteers, what volunteering can bring you. The meeting is non-binding, if you are interested, you can establish cooperation with them and agree on the next course of action.
Volunteer date with..... takes place on October 17 at 3:30 p.m., in the Youth Center at Tajovského 25 in Banská Bystrica.
