The Czech Republic's crisis is a set of four texts in which Hannah Arendt examines the crisis events and the development of political life in the United States in the 1960s and 1970s and how this development threatens the American (and generally democratic) form of government, or how it fits into it . It deals with the consequences of the current transformation of politics into a mere arena, which only creates certain images and to build public relations. In the "violence" study, it opens the problem of the nature, causes and importance of violence in the second half of the 20th century and its relation to power, politics and war.
