Diabetes in the Menopause: The hormonal changes during menopause can imbalance metabolism and increase the risk of type 2 diabetes. This can be prevented with the right means. The preDIA project, co-financed by the Austrian Research Promotion Agency, which has been investigating digital diabetes prevention in general practitioners since 2022, invites you to the event “Diabetes prevention during the menopause”.
Presentation of the project preDIA
The project team will introduce you to the background and objectives of this project and provide an insight into the current project results.
The following experts will provide insights into the challenges and risks of diabetes in menopause offer and options for prevention for you discuss:
- Dr. Sebastian Huter – General practitioner at PVE Sonnwendviertel and study doctor
- Dr. Simone Huber – Specialist in internal medicine, additional subject in endocrinology and diabetology in the Wienerberg Diabetes Center
- Bettina Knabl - Diaetologist in the health and prevention center of the KFA Sports Science & Nutrition Science Sanatorium Hera, diabetes consultant and independent diaetologist at Praxis my-health
As part of the panel discussion, you will also have the opportunity to ask the experts questions.
Prof. Dr. Siegfried Meryn, Internist and CEO of the Future Health Lab, moderates the panel discussion and will also guide us through the entire evening.
