DFS LÚČKA a hosť FS POVAŽAN

Dear folklore enthusiasts, we cordially invite you to the traditional performance of DFS Lúčka and FS Považan.

DFS Lúčka was founded in 1985 in Bratislava's Petržalka. Since then, he has raised more than 500 children, who later became successful in university and professional folklore ensembles.

100 boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 17 rehearse here during the year. They practice two to three times a week. The ensemble has a studied full-length program consisting of songs and dances from the Liptov, Záhoria, Horehronia and Terchová regions. During its existence, the ensemble has completed more than 600 performances at home and abroad. Among the most interesting ones, we can mention the group's performance at folklore festivals in Východná, Myjava, Prešov and others.

FS Považan was founded in 1954 at the racing club of Považské strojárny in Považská Bystrica and ranks among the oldest folklore collectives in Slovakia. He represents the city of Považská Bystrica at competitions, festivals and various performances for the public at home and abroad. During its existence, the ensemble trained countless singers, musicians and dancers who worked and still work in professional ensembles such as the Lúčnica art ensemble. In addition, some have acted or are acting as leaders of other folklore ensembles or groups.
