“You’re crazy, my child, go to Berlin, where the crazy people are, that’s where you belong.” Almost a century ago, this was the hit that carried the pulse of this city to the outside world.
Is Berlin that crazy again today? Or is it just the government that moved here? And if they are crazy here: what are they crazy about? And where does this take place?
THE VOLES become a meeting point for explorers: in the show THE BLUE MONDAY, the originals of all scenes from the urban jungle as well as artists of all kinds with stars who are guesting in Berlin gather on one stage. Writers, comedians, singers, satirists, acrobats, bon vivants, slam poets, stars and eccentrics; People come to the talk who have something to say or who are being talked about. For a few minutes, each of them has the opportunity to meet us, to inspire us, to provoke us. The chance to become a star or shine as one.
Berlin is a magnet for cultures and lifestyles. The opposites are the invigorating elixir. Here the styles and attitudes come together in a more concentrated way than ever before. As the only German city where reunification took place, as a government metropolis and hothouse of trends, the traditional “snout with a heart” stronghold is a large showcase for talented guys, artists and original personalities.
Sometimes on Mondays they are all so free. There they have freedom. They'll make Monday a day with us and pack some of the symphony of this big city into a fast-paced, beautiful and strange show. The whole thing is presented and selected by cabaret artist Arnulf Rating and the Maulhelden team, musically mixed up and accompanied by changing bands.
A live city revue that also tracks down what would otherwise only be found by insiders and experts. On Blue Monday, a two-hour entertainment show with a constantly fresh program is created as a lively cultural information box:
