Deerhoof are unstoppable. For a band defined by chaos, it's almost unbelievable that they're just celebrating 31 years of existence. From humble beginnings in the mid-nineties, the obscure noise group has become one of the most influential bands of the new millennium thanks to their unbridled attitude and courage to take risks. Pitchfork even called them "the best band in the world" and over the years they played countless concerts all over the world, including tours with Wilco, The Roots, Beck, The Flaming Lips, Sonic Youth and Radiohead.
The band's discography around singer and bassist Satomi Matsuzaki is defined by unyielding creativity. In their colorful sound universe, the ferocity of punk meets sizzling pop melodies, the freedom of free-jazz with dissonant hard-rock riffs and the chaos of no-wave with percussive explosions and surreal humor. Each Deerhoof album opens new sonic doors - this is no different with the latest album Noble and Godlike in Ruin, with which the band embarks on a spring European tour with a stop at MeetFactory, where it returns after less than two years.

The evening will be opened by BearCloud, a project of the young musician and producer Šimon Havelka, which combines songwriting intimacy with electronic elements. His music is characterized by personal lyrics, absorbing atmosphere and the ability to create space for deeper and focused listening. He released his debut album called Faves in January 2025 on Polí5. The same label released his four-song EP Meeting with a Bear in the fall. BearCloud is planning to release another recording for 2026.
