About event
Like a tiny puff of smoke that gradually ignites into something much more exciting - that's exactly how rockers Dead Poet Society are, who hit us with lightning at Rock for People 2025. With their new single "Sinner Systems" they will arrive at MeetFactory on February 21, 2027.
🎫 Tickets on sale from July 3, 10:00, on GoOut ▶️ https://goout.net/cs/dead-poet-society/szfpnky/.
The band started out as an indie group that produced and recorded their own songs, including two acclaimed EPs. In a 2016 interview with Beyond The Stage magazine, frontman Jack Underkofler described the band's sound as "heavy indie rock", contrasting harsh, low-pitched guitar riffs with soft, pop-tinged choruses and verses.
In 2016, their music was discovered by the influential Mexican YouTube channel Pepe Problemas. Their reviews caught the attention of other up-and-coming rockers Sputnik, who invited the band to open their national tour of Mexico.
The most significant breakthrough in the US came in 2018, when Spotify added the single "American Blood" to their playlists after the band built a strong organic presence on social networks and streaming platforms. Badflower's Josh Katz was one of their earliest fans, particularly of their song "CoDA".
They have two studio albums to their credit and released the single "Sinner Systems" in May 2026, which they describe as a "movie set". "It's a dark, brooding song that combines a heavy, undertuned groovy bass with very hedonistic lyrics. It holds up a mirror to modern behavior," the band adds.
