About event
Street photography is often associated with perfect timing, the ability to respond quickly and create complex compositions. Many people want to take a street photo, but over time they give up because they can't make pictures that make them happy. For a street-photographer to record exceptional situations, many years of training and a good dose of patience are needed. After years of organizing workshops, David Gaberle decided that in cooperation with architect Jakub Kolek he would create a small model of the city, where everyone can try the basic principles of shooting in the streets. Fortunately, in street-photography, only rarely. There are few suitable training situations. The model of the city with buildings, furniture of Prague and characters that you can try to place for your desired compositions will serve at the workshop with David to illustrate various street-photographic procedures and at the same time as a training course where you can play. Participants will learn how to look in the streets of light and at the same time they will be able to try what compositions suit their way of shooting. The workshop is not only for beginners, but also advanced photographers who want to look for new photographic procedures. Among other things, David was awarded 2. The place in the category “Photographer under 30” and in 2019 he won a journalistic prize for the project for male suicides. In addition to photography, he now focuses on music and is looking for new ways to use art as a therapeutic means. Currently belongs to the international group Fujifilm X-Photographs.
