About event

The money is on the windowsill, Marie has been inspiring people with her own form of cabaret for 10 years. When the real-fictional lovers are not chatting in an entertaining and virtuoso way, they recite language-juggling songs and poems. They manage the balancing act between comedy and socially critical depth with astonishing ease.

Friedolin Müller and Wiebke Eymess are "fantastic musicians, hilarious comedians and situation comedians, linguistic acrobats and frequent discussants and together they perform a wonderful parody of today's young academic couple. Loriot in the 21st century." (Passauer NP)

In the anniversary program Number Pushing, the duo shows all their favorite pieces. Plus never-played lyrics and songs from the poison cabinet. At least in theory. Because the two do not agree on the choice of numbers. But the program has to be finished so that their children have something to eat. So they let their fans vote on their favorite pieces. They don't agree either. It doesn't help: the two from the windowsill have to do numbers!

And at the end of the evening everyone will ask themselves again: Was that rehearsed or improvised? Private or political? Is that art - or do they mean me?

PRESS REVIEWS

"Dialogues full of subtle wordplay and brilliant arguments. Philosophical, instructive and always hilarious. A program that is staged and composed like a total work of art. Wonderful art of entertainment." Main-Echo

"Wiebke Eymess and Friedolin Müller are everything in one. They are both fantastic musicians, they are hilarious comedians and situation comedians, they are speech acrobats and frequent discussants and, last but not least, together they perform a wonderful parody of today's young academic couple. Loriot in the 21st century." Passauer Neue Presse

"Cocky wit, clever comedy, bitter irony and heartwarming sensitivity. Their program, celebrated with thunderous applause, is never just cabaret, nor does it follow the well-worn treads of comedy and is certainly not a song recital. As soon as a genre trap is in sight, it is avoided with an elegant volte. The young stars of the cabaret stages actually generate something of their own, fresh, Intelligent and very funny.” Kieler Nachrichten

“The linguistic acrobatics sometimes reaches the level of Kurt Tucholsky and Robert Gernhardt.” Erlanger Nachrichten

"With their outrageously relaxed manner, but in reality quite cunning, they add not at all harmless punch lines to apparently harmless chansons. Within one verse, a playful love song can turn into an ecological protest song." Bayrischer Rundfunk, radioSpitzen, Thomas Koppelt

"Bizarre and unique. This Hanoverian duo has their very own The style of the cabaret was developed: virtuosic and playful, musical and chansonesque, loving and at the same time biting. The couple jokes and bickers through the evening and sings their songs again and again, with great voices and played on guitar, ukulele, accordion, mini keyboard and more. It's no wonder that the two of them are so well received: it's great to accompany them. Neue Presse Hannover

"The text and timing are with the necessary accuracy and looseness, which is certainly not an easy exercise given the fast-paced, wordy, clever and intellectually twisted dialogues. Wiebke and Friedolin argue about the way to paradise, about the pros and cons of country and city, meat consumption and vegetarianism, togetherness and self-realization, eloquently talk about their gender roles and sing over and over again wonderful songs. Acclaimed preview.” Kieler Nachrichten

Wiebke Eymess and Friedolin Müller skilfully circle their topics and inspire their audience in a refreshingly relaxed manner with skillful wit. The duo's chansons are also something very special in their simplicity and intelligent humor. Whether romantic declarations of love with guitar and ukulele or sometimes with not entirely serious minimal accompaniment on the old 80s Casio mini keyboard, the songs from “The money is on the windowsill, Marie” are refreshingly musical, full of romance and simply funny. The Bad Hersfeld audience followed these intelligent

dialogues with great amusement and honored the successful preview of “Paradiesseiten” with long-lasting, thunderous applause. Hersfelder Zeitung

The two of them manage the balancing act between socially critical topics and the private sphere, creating wonderfully quirky dialogues. Politics always starts within your own four walls. In this way, smart word games and politics are combined with emotional worlds that couples slip into. For them, listening is the order of the day, it's charming conversation, entertainment instead of thigh-slapping. With melancholic and sad poems and songs that develop their own humor, they entertain without being loud. Mühldorf OVB

It's actually very old hat when a couple stands on a stage and talks about marriage and living together as man and woman. “The money is on the windowsill, Marie” are different. The duo skillfully combines the well-known clichés with self-irony, nonsense and, above all, a good dose of social criticism. The duo creates an unexpected depth in the program, which also offers variety to the sometimes very serious content. Mainzer Allgemeine Zeitung
