About event

What is a Dancer's Clothing Swap? It means the focus is on sexy/comfy dresses and cute tops for wearing out dancing! Soft fabrics that are nice to the touch!
Body-positive, queer-positive, gender-sensitive.

Please bring:
-Femme or femme-ish clothing
(Please no masc clothing due to space constraints*)
-All adult sizes are welcome! (we will sort roughly by size)
-Accessories for any season, winter stuff, bathing suits
-jewelry - we all have stuff we never wear, so let's share
-socks! Fits too tight or too loose? purge that sock drawer!
-undies if in great condition
-Sex toys?! I'm sure I'm not the only person who has a few that didn't "light me up" so let's sanitize them and give them a new home. If that squigs you out, no worries, don't take any! Lol.

Please no:
-Rips, holes, or bad stains (exceptions can be made for costumes or festival wear, if it's still useable, see also my note below about donations for houseless people*)
-NO SMELLY CLOTHING - especially smoke smells or mildew - vinegar soak before washing is the best way to remedy these smells! If you have pets, please freshly launder all your items.
-No bulky shoes, please. Or if you do bring them, be ready to take them home with you again if no one wants them.
-No children's clothes. If you have children's clothes to bring, post a comment and see if someone wants them, but please don't add them to the pile.

Kindly bring items in laundry baskets or cardboard boxes or reusable shopping bags rather than trash bags which tend to break.... it works better for sorting during the swap and then packing up items at the end.

Piles will be sorted by size to help people target what will actually fit their body - I have heard from larger and smaller people that this is really helpful. It doesn't have to be super precise, if you generally wear size S, it's okay to dump all your stuff into the S pile.

Please RSVP! I have room for 20 and I'm inviting a lot more than that :) If you can't make it that day, message me or leave a comment for finding a second swap day to split this group into two!

*I'm gathering donations for houseless folks especially pants, long sleeves, jackets, warm things, rain gear, bedding. Stains and minor rips are okay but not big rips that reduce warmth.
Also need phone cords esp USB-C and power banks. The Quaker Meeting will distribute these to people in need.
