About event
Lecturer: Michal Louč
The guided tour will take you to one of the most important places of worship in modern Czech history. The Devil's Cemetery, with its exceptional cubist architecture, hides a common burial ground in the northern part, where the communist regime secretly buried its victims. Today, the place is reverently arranged as an Honorary Burial Ground for those executed and martyred from the 1950s - the Third Resistance and the so-called Children's Cemetery. During the walk, we will learn about the complicated history of the place, the fates of selected political prisoners and the influence of the reverent arrangement on the formation of historical memory.
Participation is FREE, you just have to confirm it by email: rezervaceakce@vhu.cz
