Craig Taborn - Piano
Craig Taborn will be recognized by the second spring prologue of the 30. Not only will the cycle of concerts be presented by the spring prologue Vijay Iyer. As a student, he also drew attention to himself as Sideman Saxophonist James Carter, with whom he recorded a number of albums, starting with the title JC On the Set (1994). In the same year, the band debut Craig Taborn Trio also released, filmed, as the eponymous name suggests, in the traditional format of the piano acoustic jazz trio. In 1995, Taborn moved to New York, where his musical career started. For example, Craig chose the legendary Roscoe Mitchell as an escort, and the first of his albums on which the pianist performs is Nine to Get Ready (1999) for the ECM label. This is followed by the title Song for My Sister (2002), and since Mitchell used two pianists at that time, he met here - yes, with Vijay Iyer. In parallel, however, he worked for, for example, DJ and producer of electronic music Carl Craig. Taborn is also in contact with the experimenting scene of the New York Downtown: he filmed and performed with the electronic musician Ikue Mori, for example, and he asked him John Zorn. She is one of the artists perfectly convincing in both expressive and loud music and in silent meditations. He is also a master in the royal discipline of a solo piano recital.
