About event

Admission is free!

Come Together is an open intercultural theater program in Heidelberg.

The Theatertreff was founded in 2015. The aim at the time was to offer a theater program for young refugees in Heidelberg. Nowadays, people of different ages and backgrounds mix together every week to form a diverse group in new and different ways.

The fun of playing theater together is the top priority every second Monday: exercises and small games from theater and experiential education mix with theater pedagogical methods, creating a protective space that enables creative experimentation and encounters in a special way.

Everyone is welcome to join the colorful group mix!

About the organization:

At every meeting there is an instruction team consisting of two people who design a unit - mostly (prospective) theater teachers. It is possible to start again at any time because the units are self-contained. All instructors volunteer at Come Together. In the meantime, participants from the first hour also take on small instructions.

In recent years, the group has been involved in various activities, e.g. at the International Weeks against Racism at the IZ Heidelberg or at Run4Unity.

In the future, the Theatertreff is also looking forward to taking part in actions or organizing events itself that celebrate and enrich the diverse life in Heidelberg.

In cooperation with the Free Theater Association Heidelberg e.V.
