Collegium 1704: Vášně srdce a duše

The Italian violist Margherita Maria Sala, winner of the prestigious Cesti Singing Competition Innsbruck 2020, belongs to the extraordinary revelations of the young generation, and quickly gained a reputation for her dark timbre and high musicality. The program Passions of the heart and soul is full of contrasts and great emotions, which abound in the work of mainly Italian composers of the 18th century such as Galuppi, Marcello, Ristori, naturalized in Italy, the young Handel and, of course, Vivaldi. All of them composed brilliant, technically and vocally extremely expressive music, brilliantly portraying the passions of the human soul and heart.
