CODEnsemble - sea2on: Trio

CODEnsemble continues its second sea2on season with the Trio concert, which follows the opening program Solo/Duo. After the introduction of solo and duo formations, the ensemble's dramaturgy moves to trio formations and to more subtle relationships between clarinet, violin, cello and piano.

The concert program features works by Robert Kolář, Petr Javorka, Marián Lejava and Milan Paľa. Individual compositions work with different forms of chamber communication - from a concentrated sound gesture, through a more static passage of time, to a more expressive layering of musical material. A common feature of the program is the emphasis on detail, the tension between the instruments and the search for a space in which contemporary music becomes an intense chamber dialogue.

The program also includes Robert Kolář's composition – Pantomimes I–IV for violin and clarinet, which creates a dramaturgical link between the concerts of the season sea2on and will be performed again in Bratislava. The concert thus develops the idea of the whole season: to present Slovak and Central European contemporary music in the interpretation of prominent personalities of the chamber scene.
