About event
Imagine a music workshop or laboratory in which they give you a bit of clarinet art, classical music education, a bit of ethno, jazz and let's say minimalism. You will add the desire to improvise, buy the most modern electronics and technology, invite interesting guests and start researching, creating and, above all, communicating with the audience. From the environment you create, a unique genre will emerge, which may have a lot in common with the established term crossover, but can even more freely be expressed as "music without borders".
The beginnings of the four-member musical ensemble Clarinet Factory date back until 1994, when all the members were studying at the Prague Academy of Music and Petr "Pepíno" Valášek, mainly the interpretation of classical and jazz. Clarinet Factory soon moved to experiments across musical genres, from arranging to composing, to the desire to communicate and communicate music independently of genres or generational affiliation with Bobby McFerrin, Jana Koubková, Brno Philharmonic, PKF Prague Philharmonic, Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra, Radka Fišarová, Iva Bittová, with Lenka Dusilová and Beata Hlavenková in the joint project Eternal Seekers, as well as Tata Bojs, Floex and Joe Acheson from Hidden Orchestra. In a number of site-specific performances, they collaborated with the intermedial artist Petr Nikle and the legendary percussionist Alan Vitouš. Other milestones in Clarinet Factory's career include the music for the films Hidden Things or Deadly Stories - Part of the Lighthouse (2016), winning the prestigious International Songwriting Competition in Nashville, USA with the composition Orlík.
