Civilizácia - 1/2025 - Bratislava

The Civilization project offers an innovative tool for changing education in the subjects of history, civics and geography at the 2nd grade of elementary school with a focus on the educational field of Man and Society.

We consider the minimization of transmissive education to be the essence of the change we want to achieve. and its replacement by constructivist education. Transmissive education: we present the student with ready-made knowledge included in scientific systems. The measure of the success of learning is the amount of knowledge that the student can reproduce and the ability to master the scientific structure of this knowledge.

Constructivist education: we present tasks to the student or otherwise create an environment in which he has the opportunity and is willing to ask, search and test answers and construct knowledge based on prior knowledge and "common sense". The measure of success is the student's ability to use various strategies for acquiring knowledge and classifying them in meaningful structures. bratislava">https://www.indicia.sk/aktivity/civilizacia/civilizacia-12025-bratislava
